High productivity meets unrivalled reliability with Konica Minolta’s new high-end quality colour A3 bizhub C759/C659 printers

| 7 December 2017

With the introduction of the bizhub C759/C659, Konica Minolta is pushing the boundaries of various fields in the segment of A3 high-volume colour devices, such as larger scan volumes, reduction of feeding errors and the range of available high-level finishes. This helps customers to reach higher productivity, richer functionality and enhanced flexibility in their office printing.

As direct successors to the C754e/C654e devices in the premium A3 colour segment, Konica Minolta has introduced the bizhub C759/C659 to the European print market. These devices are designed to meet the business needs of high-volume print offices and in-house printing departments, which require solution & service platforms as well as device management. This new bizhub series is part of a push towards the highest levels of productivity, quality, cost efficiency and reliability.

Pushing the limits of device performance

A high-capacity and high-speed dual-scan document feeder was specially developed for this newest generation of devices, capable of scanning with a speed of up to 240ipm. This makes it ideal for handling larger scan volumes or digital archiving at schools or legal offices, for example. Downtimes due to paper jams can be reduced drastically through the all-new sensing technology, which helps to reduce feeding errors. The new purge system also facilitates jam releases drastically. The sturdy new product design further ensures durability and reliability of the devices. Additionally, bizhub C759/C659 support a wide range of high-level finishers for a variety of outputs, including handy tri-fold functions for creating invitations.

Mobile and cloud solution connectivity is another strength of the devices, supporting mobile communication via AirPrint, Google Cloud Print and Wi-Fi Direct in addition to NFC, Bluetooth LE and Wi-Fi. On top of easy operability due to the 10.1-inch multi-touch panel and the intuitive user interface, the devices are highly customisable through the creation of own user interfaces according to exact user needs. HDD mirroring in combination with first-class security features minimise the possibility of data loss.

Increased ease of use and efficiency for users

With the bizhub C759/659 series, Konica Minolta answers customers’ needs for development; the versatility of the devices stands out in particular. With their Open API and IWS support, they can be easily integrated into existing workflows with several server-based or device-based print and scan applications. This is very helpful, as document workflows within companies are changing and adaptions need to be made. Higher printing, copying and scanning speeds as well as better media handling enhance overall productivity and help maximise printing efficiency. This makes copying and printing possible for paper weights up to 256 gsm in duplex and 300 gsm in simplex. The ease of use and intuitive handling of the devices together with the enhanced functions ensure better management of input and output tasks.

Together with the energy-saving performance, this helps customers to take advantage of new business opportunities and save substantial costs. It therefore helps to grow revenues and extend orders with existing customers: through the increase in productivity and the integration of new ways to work, tighter schedules can be met and more print jobs can be executed in-house, minimising the need for outsourcing.

Additionally, by relying on the award-winning Simitri HD Toner technology with eco-friendly biomass as an essential ingredient, maximum print quality comes with sustainability benefits. Hence, the devices also help Konica Minolta’s customers to stand out from the competition in the market place, make an impact and grow their business.
