ABOUT KONICA MINOLTA

About Konica Minolta

Konica Minolta’s journey started 150 years ago, with a vision to see and do things differently. We innovate for the good of society and the world. The same purpose that kept us moving then, keeps us moving now. We help our clients champion the digital era.

Light up your imagination

Our rich 150 year history has seen Konica Minolta innovate across multiple product and service categories to become one of the world’s leading imaging technology companies. We are very proud of this. Our focus is now on the future. We are constantly driven by new innovations to create added value and contribute to solve social and environmental issues.

Our vision and purpose

Our roots are in the field of imaging and still form the basis for our vision "Imaging to the People". This is because we use our original imaging technologies in combination with data processing and data-based decision making to identify the immediate problems of our clients and society and develop solutions for them. In doing so, we aim to realise our social purpose: "Support people to achieve their own purpose" and "Realise a sustainable society".

Konica Minolta has identified five themes that will create added value and solve predicted social and environmental issues between now and 2030. As we look to the future, we’re guided by these five material issues.

What guides us in realising our vision is our philosophy "The Creation of New Value", because our goal is to always create new economic and social value for our customers and society through innovation. And we’re proud to have been named, for  the second time in a row, among the Top 100 Global Innovators 2023 by Clarivate Plc.

Our clients come from all sectors: small and medium-sized businesses, large companies, or the public sector.

In Europe, our portfolio is divided into four areas:

Intelligent Connected Workplace: Work IT – when IT works

With the Intelligent Connected Workplace (ICW), our forceful goal is to empower people and organisations to cope with increasingly mobile and flexible work environments. By taking complexity out of workplace processes we help people get work done, simply and easily. We deliver holistic digital workplace solutions that make data more secure and compliant, information better accessible, work more productive and infrastructure simpler to manage. Our portfolio for the ICW includes cloud, managed IT, managed print, video solutions, collaboration, security and workflow management & automation services for office, home and hybrid work environments. We have been a Microsoft Global Managed Partner since 2021 and thus have one of the world's best-known and most successful IT partners at our side. Our success is also expressed in numerous awards and recognitions, such as those confirmed by IDC, who recognised us globally as a leader in print transformation.

Igniting Print Possibilites: See the Potential

We’re igniting print possibilities. From conquering new markets, to embracing new techniques, and creating ever more unique customer experiences. Our Igniting Print Possibilities offering helps printers, converters and brand owners maximise workflow automation to increase efficiency. We deliver consultancy in all communication matters as well as top-of-the-line production, packaging as well as label printers. Our finishing devices create print products that stand out and create added value. The success proves us right: We have been the market leader for production printing (A3 cut-sheet market) in Europe for more than a decade (InfoSource). Also in the label printing market in Europe, we are the leading brand in digital with 26% market share according to Infosource (2021).

Healthcare

Today’s healthcare market is heavily influenced by trends such as demanding patients expecting highly individual care, healthcare insurers exerting more and more influence on how care is to be provided, and healthcare organisations faced by budget constraints and increased pressure to keep costs in check. Our advanced healthcare solutions cut through the complexities of your IT processes by automating and optimising document-related processes to simplify information flows and make medical information accessible and compliant. On top of that, we provide the hospital and clinic market with highly-acclaimed, high-performance digital diagnostic X-ray imaging systems.

Trust in our security and service

For its innovative remote service approach, Konica Minolta was awarded the prestigious “Buyers Lab (BLI) 2023-2024 Pacesetter Award in Remote Service for the Western European market” from Keypoint Intelligence. This award recognises Konica Minolta as offering leading remote service. The award assessed seven key areas: Vision, Innovations, Achievements (customer reach), Serving the Remote Worker, Serving the Enterprise, Regional Marketing, and Channel Activities.

For its established Information Security Management System (ISMS) Konica Minolta Business Solutions Europe has obtained ISO 27001 certification. This standard verifies that Konica Minolta is pursuing the highest level of information security within its organisation. The certificate was granted on the basis of a thorough audit by KPMG. This entailed an in-depth screening of Konica Minolta’s holistic information security approach across all areas – from HR to customer relations and across all channels, from digital processes to a clean desk policy in the organisation.

Our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) approach

We aim to be a company contributing to the sustainable growth of society and individuals. In that context we undertake the activities necessary to address global issues in the three areas of environmental, social, and governance (ESG). With our commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Konica Minolta has pledged to consistently pursue its sustainability and social responsibility goals.

Konica Minolta Business Solutions Europe's Environmental Management System (EMS) has received the ISO 14001:2015 certification by TÜV Rheinland. This certification specifies the requirements for an environmental management system that an organisation can use to enhance its environmental performance.
