Konica Minolta’s Inline Trimming Unit TU-510 hits sales milestone

Langenhagen, Germany | 9 February 2024

Konica Minolta has reached a milestone with its own-developed innovative Inline Trimming Unit TU-510 - more than 220 units have been sold in Europe since its launch in 2021.

The world’s only inline trimming unit in the printing industry was developed to fulfil today’s demands for versatile and creative print products. It was also created to save valuable operator time and reduce the cost of manual labour. Supporting efficient production on all Konica Minolta AccurioPress systems, the Inline Trimming Unit TU-510 can slit and trim business cards at a speed of up to 231 ready-made business cards per minute. It can handle extra-long sheets, offering attractive opportunities for business expansion. Ever since its launch, it has been sold to over 200 satisfied customers.

The highly automated technology can seamlessly integrate with existing workflows and offers numerous configuration possibilities. When combined with the IQ-501 Intelligent Quality Care unit it ensures colour consistency and registration accuracy for every printed sheet.

Among the TU-510’s happy customers is Anna Filacorda CEO of Grafiche Filacorda, of Italy. She said: “In addition to obtaining a finished product without the need for additional machine startups, we can perform operations that are useful for other departments and automate unprofitable manual processes.”

Another customer Martin Becker, General Manager of Wub GMBH, Germany, expands on its versatility: “... especially if you have gimmicks such as a cover letter with a bank transfer form, then of course the TU-510 does a fantastic job, because the paper goes in, is ready-cut and ready-perforated at the back.”
