More toy safety recognition for Konica Minolta production presses

Langenhagen, Germany | 3 March 2022

Two more production presses from Konica Minolta have achieved certification from TÜV Rheinland. The accreditations, which incorporate respective national and international coveted standards for child-safe toy safety, have been awarded to Konica Minolta’s AccurioPress C7100 toner press – launched last June and running at 100ppm - and the AccurioJet KM-1 series B2 sheetfed digital press.

The announcement follows on from extensive testing and the same rigorous proof criteria for toy testing certification announced for the AccurioPress C14000 high-volume production series (140ppm), which also includes the C12000 (120ppm).

“They follow on from other accolades achieved for our market-leading production systems. One of these was the Keypoint Intelligence Buyers’ Lab certificate of achievement for the AccurioPress C7100. The results showed this production press which excelled in every high-performance test involving a million-impression print run and offers tremendous colour output quality and first-rate stability, plus being well-placed to deliver on brand colour critical applications.”

Hidetoshi Omo, Head of Centre of Competence KM-1, Konica Minolta Business Solutions Europe, said: “We are extremely proud to have achieved these awards as we continue to work closely with customers in partnership to rethink possibilities. The TÜV Rheinland certification is more recognition for the AccurioJet KM-1 series versatility across multiple product lines and follows on from the INGEDE deinking accreditation we have received for both uncoated and coated papers, which includes recycled qualities.

“Our award-winning AccurioJet KM-1e B2 UV inkjet sheetfed press enables high productivity inkjet printing to address a wider set of application needs, which is why it is referred to as the Swiss army knife of printing because it has so many uses. Whether it is an offset alternative, direct marketing, packaging, books, online printing or standard commercial printing, the AccurioJet KM-1e unlocks the potential."

The announcement of these latest awards for child-safe toy international recognition represents more third-party endorsements as we continue to expand our presence in commercial and industrial print markets.
