  • Konica Minolta’s award-winning Virtual Showroom goes public

    Langenhagen, Germany | 01 Sep 2025

    production printing, virtual showroom

Konica Minolta has launched a new web version of its interactive, award-winning Virtual Showroom to further improve the immersive experiences for customers and prospects from across the globe. The online platform where visitors have a ‘virtual’ tour of some of Konica Minolta’s most popular professional printing systems is now publicly available.

Launched in 2020 to create a holistic approach in what was then a ‘new normal’ of online presentations and demonstrations, Konica Minolta’s Virtual Showroom provides a virtual experience as part of the increased demand for online experiences for the customer journey. Visitors can enjoy an enhanced interactive experience to explore a wealth of valuable insights, tips, and information - without the need to download any software. In 2022, the platform won a German Innovation Award from the country’s Design Council.

Increasing need for virtual experiences

As print technologist Dr Sean Smyth commented: “There’s nothing to beat seeing hi-tech print systems in person. Shows, both local and international, and events such as open houses and specific customer visits provide a great platform for networking and education.

“However, there is also an increasing need for virtual experiences when the ability to get under the hood and kick the tyres is not possible. Cyber showrooms are among these tools. The one Konica Minolta provides has a lot of useful information to give users a feel for the technology when they are considering an investment. It is well worth spending some time in there to familiarise yourself with the equipment, and the components involved with links to specification criteria such as print speed, monthly duty cycles.”

Showrooms accessible to all

Previously only available to customers and prospects when they were accompanied by a Konica Minolta’s representative, the Virtual Showroom provides insights into production functions, application possibilities and benefits. Short, informative texts, videos, print samples and presentations are also available. Materials can be downloaded.

Interactive elements provide virtual running of the machines, including animated paper flow demonstrations, ink color variants, paper loading and product post-print stacking.

On tour with intelligent technology

Specialist functions can also be explored in detail during the tour. These cover areas such as inline finishing, Konica Minolta’s auto inspection technology in the intelligent quality care system and its inkjet unique Dot Freeze™ Technology (DFT). Online showroom tours include products such as the AccurioJet, AccurioShine 3600, AccurioPress 7100 ENHANCED, AccurioPress C14100S, AccurioPress C4080 and AccurioLabel 230/400 series.

It is a step toward offering a truly seamless customer experience from initial interest to long-term partnership - whether in person or online. Our goal remains the same: to inspire fresh ideas and work side by side with our customers, across every channel they choose to engage with us.”
