| 20 February 2023

Konica Minolta, Inc. (Konica Minolta) announced that Clarivate Plc, a U.K.-based global information service company (Clarivate), named Konica Minolta among the Top 100 Global Innovators 2023 (Top 100 Innovators) for the second consecutive year following 2022.

To create this list, Clarivate uses its own intellectual property and patent data to identify companies and organisations that have met the qualifying criteria of having filed 500 or more patent applications since 2000 and been granted 100 or more patents during the past five years, and then evaluates the identified candidates in terms of four factors: “Influence,” “Success,” “Globalisation” and “Rarity.”

Konica Minolta endeavours to make the most of its intangible assets, including human resources, customer engagement, and proprietary technologies, to resolve social issues, achieve sustainable business growth and enhance its corporate value by working with customers in its co-creation efforts.

Recognising that intellectual property is part of its important intangible assets and the source of its ability to offer values, Konica Minolta remains committed to creating new values that bring innovations to society, and developing high-quality intellectual property that facilitates its co-creation efforts with customers, contributes to resolving social issues and accelerates business growth by continuing appropriate investments.
