Konica Minolta launches its all new flagship colour A3 MFP bizhub C750i

| 9 July 2020

Konica Minolta launches a new family member of its bizhub i-Series, the bizhub C750i. The A3 high-volume colour multi-functional peripherals (MFP) device C750i is designed to provide the functionality of a small-scale print shop, all combined into a single unit suitable for an office space. It fulfils the needs of customers who process high-volume print jobs such as small CRDs or small- and mid-size copy shops. It can also be used in office environments that require a high volume of printing such as a printing and copying device placed in a room or corridor, or as a printing device in a warehouse. This makes it ideal for a wide range of offices in government, legal, education and membership organisations or healthcare environments. The new device’s absolute highlight is the intelligent media sensor.

The bizhub C750i is the successor of the bizhub C759/C659 devices and has a greater capability. The bizhub C750i offers a print speed of up to 75ppm in mono and 70ppm in colour. The high-capacity and high-speed dual-scan document feeder with double feed detection runs with a speed of up to 140/280ipm. This makes it ideal for handling larger scan volumes or digital archiving, for example at schools or legal offices. Furthermore, the bizhub C750i features large finishers with an integrated manual stapler and offers a quick copy mode to guarantee faster copying with fewer clicks and pop-ups, since all main settings are available at a glance. Additionally, the home screen customisation makes it quicker to add, rearrange or remove the icons.

Intelligent media sensor reduces paper jams and improves output quality

Office communication requires different print media. Good print quality can’t be achieved unless the paper thickness is set correctly. Taking care of the paper settings entails additional work every time users want to print. The bizhub C750i offers an intelligent media sensor which instantly measures the paper type and thickness, for instance thin or thick paper, recycled paper or envelopes, and automatically adjusts the settings as needed. This feature ensures fewer paper jams, fewer service calls and a better output quality.

Embedded cybersecurity

As office documents become more digitised and the volumes of data increase, companies and institutions need centralised management and better access to documents for reference. They require more sophisticated integration with the cloud and advanced remote access, meaning more complex workflows and a need for better security. The bizhub C750i is equipped with the latest security technology to provide a reliably safe user environment. The optional Bitdefender’s leading edge anti-virus solution can be added to the MFP’s firmware and thus monitors all scanned files and documents transferred to and from it in real time. It also enables automatic virus scanning on hard drives as well as manual scans. With bizhub SECURE, different security levels and access licences can be set to ensure the security of office devices and protect device memory and network settings.

Remote usage and support

Like all other systems of the bizhub i-Series, the bizhub C750i can be operated remotely. It is therefore possible to operate these devices, which have been designed to be used by multiple employees, without the user ever having to even touch the control panel. This can be done, for example, by using computers, mobile telephones or tablets. Moreover, Konica Minolta offers fast and professional full support via a remote services tool.

Approaching the digital workplace with intelligent features

Businesses seek to become digital connected workplaces that bring together people, spaces and devices with data. The bizhub i-Series MFPs are smart IoT-enabled devices which are designed to pave the way to the “Intelligent Connected Workplace”, and so the bizhub C750i also offers a fully digital workplace. The bizhub C750i combines printing with process efficiency to empower customers to organise, streamline and customise their printing landscape while providing the tools to digitise workflows. With an innovative and intuitive user experience and powerful built-in processing capabilities, the bizhub C750i is able to provide secure access to a suite of cloud-based services and applications via Konica Minolta’s MarketPlace.
