TOV BSH Pobutova Technika company, which is the official importer of Bosch, Siemens and Gaggenau trademarks, has chosen a complex solution from Konica Minolta to automate the production of sets of documents according to specific item numbers directly at the warehouse. Thanks to a unique cloud solution and Konica Minolta bizhub PRO 1100 equipment, the company does not need to order the printing of user manuals and warranty cards and organise their storage in an archive. Currently, the operator scans the bar codes using a mobile scanner and adds the brochure to each product item according to the consignment note. Thanks to the collaboration with Konica Minolta, TOV BSH Pobutova Technika manages to achieve the processing of printing jobs in a timely fashion.
TOV BSH Pobutova Technika company has been working in the Ukrainian market since 1995 and is the official importer of Bosch, Siemens and Gaggenau trademarks. According to Ukrainian law, the company has to supply household equipment to retailers with a set of necessary documents in Ukrainian. Previously, the company had to order the printing of user manuals and
After holding a tender, TOV BSH Pobutova Technika chose Konica Minolta for the implementation of the decision – the high-quality and timely printing of the supportive documents.warranty cards from printing houses and organise their storage in an archive. With the growth of sales, the company needed a more expedient and efficient way to print and match the documents for home appliances.
Having analysed the ways of optimisation of the process, the company decided to print the documents directly at the warehouse.
Above all, the company wanted to automate the printing process and make the creation of documents as automatic as possible. The printing system is designed to produce only brochures and notebooks. However, TOV BSH Pobutova Technika needed a complex solution to produce a set of documents according to a specific item number.
The idea was to combine all the necessary documents into one brochure, which would immediately be ready for shipment after printing. Each brochure had to be unique and correspond to a specific item number of a home appliance.
It was possible to achieve this goal by program environment development for the product items data processing. For this purpose, a digital document library was built, which became the source for creating print jobs. Each product item has a unique bar code, which includes logistics data and serial numbers. Currently, the operator scans the bar codes, using a mobile scanner, and the information is sent to the logistics accountant system (WMS).
Konica Minolta Ukraine developed a cloud solution for product item data storage and processing. This solution connects with three different systems for getting the necessary information:
After receiving the data, this cloud solution prepares the print job and sends it to the printing complex. Three Konica Minolta Bizhub PRO 1100 printers process each job and print a brochure in 21-27 seconds, depending on the number of pages. Epson printers are used to print the coloured energy stickers in 1 second per label. After this, the operator adds the brochure to each product item according to the consignment note. To accelerate this process, a batch of documents is printed in the order of scanning of the product items. As a result, the product items are ready for shipment.
With the feature of remote monitoring and timely service support, Konica Minolta Ukraine provided a reliable printing process for brochures. Thanks to this project, the company manages to achieve the processing of printing jobs in a timely fashion. They also managed to optimise the supply of products throughout high seasons, when sales volume increases considerably.
The implementation of this project confirms the commitment of TOV BSH Pobutova Technika to follow the principles of compliance with the rules of law within all business processes. This new approach has improved the protection of the authenticity of warranty cards and control of the originality of products to ensure the warranty policy of TOV BSH Pobutova Technika.
