Konica Minolta, a global technology innovator, is celebrating a number of milestone achievements for its award-winning immersive experience Virtual Showroom platform. Since its launch in 2020 the Virtual Showroom has been recognised by the German Innovation Awards 2022, hit 1,500 showroom sessions and averaged three sessions per business day.
It has also expanded with five local versions available including an Arabic version. The countries now using the platform are Germany, Austria, Spain as well as Turkey and Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Kingdom of Saudia Arabia, Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco in the Middle East.
Connecting with customers and prospects in a meaningful, informative and purposeful way has become even more important in a post pandemic environment. Timely communication and the delivery of highly valued information when it is required has become an expectation.
To meet this need, Konica Minolta developed its Virtual Showroom. The online platform was created initially for three of Konica Minolta’s leading commercial and industrial printing systems - the toner-based AccurioLabel 230 label press, the AccurioPrint C14000 high-volume production printer, and the AccurioJet KM-1e UV inkjet production press. In the meantime, the Virtual Showroom also hosts the AccurioShine 3600. Besides seeing a demo of that machine, visitors can pick up samples and compare the embellished print samples of the AccurioShine 3600 to a non-embellished one – and hence can experience the attraction of embellishment.
Customers and prospects who sign up via a dedicated landing page on Konica Minolta websites are accompanied around the Virtual Showroom by a Konica Minolta sales representative. Presenters and visitors can move freely in a virtual space and interact with the realistic products that makes every presentation unique. They can enjoy a 3D virtual tour of an industrial or commercial print showroom, galleries of print samples, technical and other content, interactive meetings in progress, and detailed presentations on the specific production press. There is also live virtual running of the machines, including animated paper flow demonstrations, the different ink colours and paper loading and product post-print stacking.
