The first company in Italy which invests in Konica Minolta's flagship product
Grafiche Filacorda was founded in 1954 by Enzo Filacorda. Today, the company has 20 employees and a turnover of 2.5 million euro (2021). In May 2022, the company became the first in Italy to install a Konica Minolta AccurioPress C12000 including TU-510 inline finishing unit and AccurioPro Flux software. This was a significant milestone in the company’s digital transformation journey, which began back in 2005. Quality, advanced technology and sustainability are set to increase their business. Grafiche Filacorda mostly produces catalogues, brochures, books and customised calendars, as well as an extensive range of printed material for commercial and marketing purposes. Its customers include well-known brands in the engineering, maritime, food and furniture industries, as well as ceramics companies, public bodies and publishers of art books. Despite the difficulties faced by the graphic arts over the past two decades, the Friulian printing company has developed its own recipe to help it compete and continue expanding.
“Between the global crisis, competition from other countries and the switch to digital communication tools, the printing industry is one of the hardest hit sectors in Italy. We have seen the industry gradually decline and many printing houses close. Nevertheless, we have continued to invest in technology, specialise in high-quality offerings, provide a full service, hire qualified staff and use sustainable materials.“
