Key player in remote surveillance in the private and professional sector for more than 15 years, Protection 24 safeguards its customers' property and possessions. A subsidiary of BNP Paribas and exclusive business partner of AXA France, Protection 24 supports 46,000 customers on daily basis, not to mention processing 10,000 new cases annually. Every day, between 400 and 700 mail items are received daily, or just over 11,000 monthly, the equivalent of more than 18,000 pages a month. Up to mid 2011, all these paper documents had to be processed manually, then archived and stored on the premises of Protection 24, causing space and access problems for the different members of staff responsible for the files.


Protection 24 called in Numerial, who suggested integrating the OnBase content management system. OnBase lets Protection 24 tackle different mail flows by fully digitising processing and in turn, controlling all processes.


How to improve incoming mail flow processing to swiftly locate the required items and enhance responsiveness? 

To start with, an inventory of all paper mail flows was drawn up to identify the document trail. The solution was integrated and then gradually deployed by digitising the entire setup once it had been improved. A unique barcode for each document provides a referential basis.


Increased productivity by more than three FTEs 

Thanks to the solution rolled out by Numerial, Protection 24 has increased its productivity by more than three FTEs. Today, Protection 24 aims to extend the system capacities to cover two new projects. 


  • The management of purely administrative mail which was not a priority to date.
