Konica Minolta spurs on building the digital campus with the International University Contest

| 18 April 2016

Konica Minolta Business Solutions Europe (Konica Minolta) announces the start of the International University Contest. In organising the contest, Konica Minolta aims to support tertiary education institutions to build the digital campus and increase the quality of their services.

Universities, schools and teaching institutions have to focus on efficient organisation to enhance their competitiveness. As one of the leading providers of IT services, Konica Minolta supports universities in this process with the International University Contest. Students will have the unique possibility of becoming involved in an international cooperation project between universities and business. Participants of the contest will analyse one current document or information workflow at their own university and recommend an innovative alternative or improvement.

"To submit the analysis successfully, students need to understand the underlying workflow, propose an innovative and feasible solution as well as consequent benefits for the university", explains Manuel Arroniz, International Business Development Manager at Konica Minolta.

The jury – consisting of international representatives from academia, business and Konica Minolta – awards the winning teams by inviting to innovative stations of future developments: The international winning team gets the chance to visit the Pioneers Festival 2017 in Vienna, where smart start-ups present the innovations of the future. The national winning students are invited to spend a weekend in Berlin, participate in the International Award Event and take an in-depth look at the Konica Minolta Business Innovation Centre (BIC). The BIC is one of five international institutions supporting and managing new business and technology development.
