Konica Minolta’s Thought Leadership in Sustainability and Corporate Transparency awarded by international Non-Profit Organization CDP

Konica Minolta, Inc. (Konica Minolta) has been awarded with a position on the A List of “The CDP Climate Performance Leadership Index 2014 (CPLI)” for its commitment to reducing carbon emissions and mitigating the business risk of climate change. In 2014 Konica Minolta was the only company in the Information Technology sector selected in “Climate Performance Leadership Index” and “Japan 500 Climate Disclosure Leadership Index” by CDP. Konica Minolta perceives sustainability as an essential corporate strategy and looks back on a long tradition of leading environmental activities and technological developments.


Langenhagen/Germany, November 10, 2014Konica Minolta joined the CDP index along with 187 listed companies identified as demonstrating a superior approach to climate change migration and illustrated that a low carbon future is possible. The A List has been created at the request of 767 investors who represent more than a third of the world’s invested capital. The international NGO, CDP independently assessed all information provided by nearly 2,000 companies against widely respected scoring methodology and ranked them accordingly.Paul Simpson, chief executive officer of CDP, says: “Global greenhouse emissions continue to rise and we face steep financial risk if we do not mitigate them.
