Langenhagen/Germany, October 3rd, 2014With the rapid growth of unstructured corporate content, enterprises face increasing difficulties in managing documents and electronic information. Workers possibly spend up to 50% of their time looking for content. But if more than 30 minutes are needed to find a document, this has the same negative effect as not having it at all. 90% of all corporate information assets are in documents; but 7.5% of all documents are lost. Folder and document structures are often ineffective and therefore related to document chaos.1 Whilst, for example, certain departments might organize their information by customers, others might structure their files by products or projects. These data and documents are related to folders, further information is located in emails, on paper or even on portable storage. As a consequence unorganized sharing and copying of documents arises frequently, resulting in fragmented and unstructured data and working time that is wasted on searching for information instead of using it in a productive way. This can also leave companies vulnerable with regards to data protection and security. Frustration is inevitable for the office employee as well as for the IT management. Chaotic document processes have big negative business impacts and will ultimately cost time and money. With over ten years of experience through its Managed Print Services called OPS, Konica Minolta has been offering consultancy, implementation of infrastructure and managed services. Nearly 6,000 customers worldwide, thereof 3,500 customers in Europe, have their processes optimized with regards to the handling and utilisation of information through Konica Minolta’s OPS programme. As of October 3rd, Konica Minolta completes its portfolio by creating the requirements for information management with technologies and MCS solutions integrated in day-to-day business processes. This promotes Konica Minolta’s mission as an expert in technological innovation and the creation of business services for their customers along the entire document life cycle. Konica Minolta MCS portfolio will be optimized for global as well as local, and will be available through our global network that serves its global customers.1 Kenneth Megill, “Corporate Memory: Records and Information Management in the Knowledge Age“, 2005Product images are available at www.konicaminolta-images.euTerms and product names may be trademarks or registered trademarks of their respective holders and are hereby acknowledged.ContactSilke Zühlke
