Konica Minolta at HPE Discover 2018 in Madrid – Providing visions and solutions for workplace IT in small and medium-sized businesses

| 19 November 2018

At this year’s HPE Discover event in Madrid from November 27 to 29, Konica Minolta is presenting insights on and solutions to empower workplace IT (booth 162), especially for small and medium-sized businesses (SMB). When it comes to contemporary and future IT, many of these companies face the challenge of finding systems that meet their needs. The event in Madrid provides an extraordinary platform for innovators such as Konica Minolta to showcase how digital processes and IT are becoming an enabler for business success when working together with the right partners. Konica Minolta is therefore proud to support this event as a sponsor. Arne Randt, Lead Product Owner at Konica Minolta, will be holding a speaker note on the topic of “Helping SMBs meet the challenge of simplifying their IT”.

Today, digital data management and IT systems are the backbone of every company and its processes. Yet profound changes, such as a steadily increasing flood of data, a mobile and globalised workforce, changing regulations as well as security threats, pose significant challenges for IT departments. This is particularly true for those in SMBs with their usually limited internal and budgetary resources. Dedicated to supporting its customers in the best way possible, Konica Minolta has developed services and solutions designed to simplify their IT and give them back their freedom to focus on business-critical tasks.

Setting the stage for the workplace of the future today

For these clients, Konica Minolta is providing a solution that unifies all IT systems and services in one solution – Workplace Hub. It combines the latest software with hardware, security and a full range of services, all within one contract and with a single point of contact. Thanks to the collaboration with Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), Workplace Hub leverages the powerful HPE ProLiant DL180 Gen10 Servers, enabling Konica Minolta to minimise both risks and costs frequently associated with non-centralised operational models for its customers. This allows businesses to control and optimise their IT spend while enabling them to focus on their core business functions. Managed IT services can also be integrated into this solution, providing IT departments with support where needed. Workplace Hub customers also benefit from Konica Minolta’s MarketPlace: With this platform, customers can further enhance their Konica Minolta devices such as Workplace Hub to exactly match their needs, while at the same time ensuring that desired services are kept up to date. Solutions are made available as easily as installing an app to a mobile phone – without having to deal with high expenditures for implementations, handling of potential compatibility issues and maintenance of services.

Solutions for optimised workplaces and workflows

Besides Workplace Hub and MarketPlace, Konica Minolta is presenting additional solutions to enhance customers’ workplaces and workflows. With its intelligent Mobotix camera solutions, Konica Minolta is helping its customers use image analysis and processing to shape their workplace of the future, making them more secure and convenient. Konica Minolta is also presenting bizhub Evolution: A unique cloud platform which enables companies to provision various cloud services to their users. The services are focussing on common workflows as well as on company-specific needs. The administration of users and services can be easily handled by the customer while platform and services are fully managed by Konica Minolta. Next to that data security is on an extreme high level, e.g. by utilising certified data centres, pseudonymisation of users and regular code audits by an external data security provider.

Arne Randt, Lead Product Owner at Konica Minolta, will be holding a speaker note on the topic of “Helping SMBs meet the challenge of simplifying their IT” at the event on Thursday, November 29, at 10.30 am in Theatre 4.
