With the Gold rating, Konica Minolta Inc. has received the highest distinction possible in the global ecoVadis sustainability evaluation. Its extraordinarily high rating reflects Konica Minolta’s continuous dedication to sustainability and social responsibility. It is an encouraging external acknowledgement for the company on its path toreducing CO2 emissions throughout the product lifecycle by 80% until 2050, compared to the fiscal year 2005 level.
Since companies are becoming increasingly aware of their global responsibility, in today’s business world, being able to prove your environmental friendliness and responsible business behaviour is becoming an even greater asset. Companies do not only take their own sustainability into account, but also take their partners along the supply chain into consideration. The relevance of social responsibility and environmental friendliness in procurement and supplier selection is therefore increasing. Hence, ratings like the ecoVadis sustainability report for suppliers are becoming an important and reliable tool for companies to integrate into their supplier selection process.
