Konica Minolta acquires IT company Aurelium

| 4 May 2018

Konica Minolta announces the acquisition of Aurelium, an IT company based in Kontich, Belgium. With this acquisition, Konica Minolta aims to strengthen its position on the IT market and offer a broader portfolio of services and expertise, the objective being to become a full-fledged IT services provider able to respond to customers’ ever-increasing demands.

This agreement is part of Konica Minolta’s ambition to develop into a full-fledged IT services provider offering complete digital solutions. The acquisition of Aurelium is intended to further move this process forward. By combining the forces of both companies, Konica Minolta will be able to meet its customers’ needs even more effectively with a more complete package of services, along with the know-how of IT professionals who can boast solid expertise and excellent references.

Among other things, Konica Minolta will bring the “Workplace Hub” concept, introduced last year by Konica Minolta, to the Belgian market together with Aurelium. Workplace Hub is a new and innovative IT solution for companies that brings together all of an organisation’s technology into a single central platform to secure the future of business IT management. Workplace Hub supports small, medium and large companies in their digital transformation by offering a solution to the growing complexity of IT. The launch is planned for later this year.

Today, Aurelium employs some 50 people and can draw on over 30 years of know-how as an expert in ICT solutions. The company will keep its name and identity and will continue to operate out of Kontich. Philippe Reinardts (COO) and Gert Lambers (CC&TO) who are currently managing the teams will stay in their position.
