Konica Minolta acquires Groupe Numerial

| 8 November 2017

Konica Minolta Business Solutions France intends to strengthen its Managed Content Services (MCS) offering by acquiring Groupe Numerial.

Konica Minolta Business Solutions France has announced its acquisition of Groupe Numerial, which specialises in integration and development in the area of information management (digitalisation, Enterprise Content Management (ECM), and business and specific applications). Through this acquisition, Groupe Numerial has become a wholly owned subsidiary of Konica Minolta Business Solutions France.

Operating in the digitalisation and electronic information management market since 2009, Groupe Numerial is a team of specialists whose founders have worked in the document management arena since the turn of the century. Groupe Numerial offers an innovative Business Process Optimisation solution based on well-established partnerships with leading players such as Hyland Software (Solution OnBase), DocuWare and others.

This acquisition allows the French subsidiary of Konica Minolta to develop its Managed Content Services offering by improving its services and pre-sales support capabilities thanks to Groupe Numerial’s competencies. In addition, Groupe Numerial has recognised expertise in the integration of mid- to high-end content management solutions for key accounts and SMEs.

For Groupe Numerial, this transaction aims to leverage its sales force and operational resources with the support of an international player in order to further grow in a promising sector, namely Managed Content Services. In addition, Konica Minolta’s competency and its management and infrastructure solutions offering complement Groupe Numerial’s expertise in advanced integration projects.

The new acquisition allows Konica Minolta Business Solutions France to increase its IT solutions delivery capacity. In fact, over the last four years – following the acquisition of Serians and partnerships developed with major IT players such as Microsoft, Dell, Sage, Citrix and HPE – the French subsidiary has evolved from dealing with business-printing activities to offering IT services. This strategy reflects the ambition of the Konica Minolta Group to become a leading IT services provider in Europe.
