Innovating alongside our partners at the cutting edge of display technology, the CA-527 has been developed to facilitate characterisation of an even greater range of luminance and colour gamut. The CA-527 is an upgraded measurement solution for companies developing, manufacturing, calibrating, and repairing next generation display technology.

Greatly increased accuracy guaranteed measurement range
The CA-527 surpasses even the high sensitivity version of its predecessor (CA-VP427) with double the accuracy-guaranteed measurement range for high luminance measurement and in even darker low luminance regions. This ensures the ability to measure improved contrast ratio and colour reproduction for next generation technology and demanding products such as outdoor visible displays.
 
Improved takt times with faster measurements
Measurement of low luminance can be a bottleneck with current generation systems. The CA-527 features an improved optical design that can complete low luminance measurements around five times faster than its predecessor, delivering a significant performance and efficiency boost to production and development applications.

High sample rate capture of emission waveforms
The CA-527 utilises a higher sampling rate to ensure more accurate measurement of emission waveforms at low luminances when measuring higher contrast OLED displays and dynamic drive micro-LEDs.

‘Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) flicker’ measurement
Complimenting the flicker measurement functions utilised in the previous generation (JEITA, VESA and FMA), the CA-527 includes a new VRR flicker measurement index to ensure industry leading flicker measurement performance.

Highest reliability and performance in production environments benefitting from compatibility with both the CA-410 and CA-310

Working together with long-standing CA-series customers, the CA-527 delivers improved reliability for a wider range of measurement targets and applications.

Like its predecessor, the CA-527 is optimized for integration; probes can be connected directly to a computer for a more compact installation. Measurement sensors feature a motorized zero-point calibration shutter for automatic remote support.

The CA-527 maintains compatibility with both the CA-P427 and the CA-310. The same basic commands are used in the new software development kit and the new probes use the same threads as the previous generation to fit any existing jig or integration, making the process of upgrading as seamless as possible.
