CM-3700A Plus Benchtop Spectrophotometer

Flagship Benchtop Spectrophotometer with camera viewfinder, sample thermometer and environmental temperature and humidity sensor

  • Sample viewer camera to ensure accurate alignment of patterned samples
  • Built in instrument status panel and measurement button
  • Versatile measurement port with 4 pre tapped threads for mounting custom measurement jig
  • Simultaneous SCI and SCE measurement for improved measurement speed over previous generation
  • Sample Thermometer and environmental temperature and humidity sensor to help compensate for thermochromatic shifts in hue

The CM-3700A Plus is the flagship benchtop spectrophotometer from Konica Minolta, incorporating the very pinnacle of optical technologies for unsurpassed accuracy of colour measurement data.

The optical system is built without compromise from stainless steel with very low thermal expansion to ensure year round repeatability and durability. Using an advanced barium sulphate sphere coating developed with proprietary technology provides a consistent and stable diffuse illumination contributing to an unparalleled inter instrument agreement of ΔE*ab 0.08 or less. Even when compared to its predecessor the CM-3700A, the CM-3700A Plus enables product owners more precise colour management over multiple locations or supply partners.

The Instrument combines the best of Konica Minolta Sensing's innovative technologies such as the built in status panel and camera viewfinder plus new innovative features to track environmental and sample conditions befitting the CM-3700A Plus's role as a flagship for unmatched accuracy in colour data.

Features

Features
  • Built with the user in mind and no compromises: The CM-3700A Plus is assembled by hand in Japan and is produced without compromises, like its predecessor the CM-3700A a stainless steel optical system ensures the log term stability and durability with extremely low thermal expansion.

  • View the configuration and trigger measurements on the device: The built in display panel displays the current configuration to ensure that measurement conditions are correct. The display panel also features a power button an measurement button to simplify the device operation.

  • Accessory storage built into the device: A built in storage space for the calibration tile, zero calibration box and target masks is built into the device body making it easy to store the essential accessories and maintain a clear and efficient workspace.
  • Redesigned transmittance chamber for easy measurement of liquid samples: now using the same mechanism as the CM-36dG series to slide and lock the chamber opening, the transmittance chamber is easy to use for operators who need to repeatably measure a number of liquid samples.

  • Sample thermometer and environment temperature and humidity sensor: Some colours and sample types are susceptible to thermochromaticity (particularly high chroma samples), meaning that the colour appears different when these conditions change. The CM-3700A Plus uses a sensor to record this information in the colour data file, allowing you to build a correction curve or begin a troubleshooting process.

  • Simultaneous SCI and SCE measurement: Operators measuring both specular component included (SCI) and specular component excluded (SCE) can expect to save significant time when compared to measuring on the CM-3700A.

  • Excellent correlation to CM-3700A measurement data: the data agreement between the two generations of instrument is very good, meaning that users upgrading from the CM-3700A can keep existing data, saving significant time when swapping systems.
  • Sample viewer camera: the integrated sample viewer camera assures theat even small or patterned samples can be accurately and repeatably measured with a minimum of wasted time in sample presentation. Sample image captures can be saved alongside measurement data in SpectraMagic™ NX2.

  • Wavelength Analysis and Adjustment feature: ensure that your measurement data is protected from drifts as the system performs a routine self check and adjustment with each white calibration. Wavelength Analysis and Adjustment requires a valid service and maintainance agreement. more information on WAA can be found in a seperate document linked at the bottom of this page.
