As a central fax device for mid-sized departments or a multifunctional product for workgroups, the new Konica Minolta 240f easily handles everyday office tasks. The compact, robust device offers monochrome printing and copying at 24 pages per minute as well as colour scanning and enhanced professional fax functions. With its extended network and security capabilities, the all-rounder 240f perfectly serves workgroups in need of a reliable, easy to use and smart office solution. The new A4 model will be available from March 2010.

The scanning feature set and innovative fax functionalities such as automatic fax distribution and archiving are superior in this product segment."

The MFP comes in a space-saving design yet features an automatic document feeder, a duplex unit, a generous paper supply of up to 1,050 sheets and a 5.7 inch touch screen display to comfortably manage its versatile applications. Convenience is also supported by long-lasting supplies that make the Konica Minolta 240f very low-maintenance, even when used by larger workgroups. The user-replaceable drum yields up to 30,000 sheets and the toner cartridge lasts for up to 16,000 pages. It is especially low in consumption of both toner and electric power, leading to attractive cost savings. For its energy efficiency it was awarded the Energy Star label.

In its product class, the Konica Minolta 240f stands out with its comprehen¬sive fax, scan and security functionalities. The office machine is equipped with a fax distribution system that automatically forwards all incoming faxes or i-faxes to specific e-mail accounts, SMB or box destinations depending on defined filters such as the fax number, time of day or date. The automatic archiving function stores the complete fax communication, e.g. in an SMB folder. Users can also share, forward and comment on faxes via document boxes on the MFP. And of course, the 240f handles all common fax features such as memory receiving, timer send, and PC fax.

As a scanner the new office device can handle colour as well as monochrome and a range of formats and destinations. It supports TIFF and PDF as well as encrypted PDF files for secure document opening or printing. The scans can be sent directly via e-mail or saved on FTP servers or public and personal user boxes.

The Konica Minolta 240f seamlessly integrates into most networks as well as professional, complex IT environments thanks to standard 10/100 Base T Ethernet and Windows, Mac, Linux, Citrix, SAP and AS/400 support. In addition, the office system facilitates enhanced control and security by SSL communication, port filtering and user authentication via Active Directory support. For example, documents can be protected either by secure code or in a private secure print box. The optional Secure CF card securely locks all documents stored on the 240f.
