Career background

Hideki Okamura joined Minolta Co. Ltd. right after he graduated fromDoshisha University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in April 1973.
After working seven years in Japan, he was assigned to Minolta Corporation in Ramsey, New Jersey as Financial Manager in April 1980. After four years at Minolta Corporation, he was transferred to Minolta Canada, Inc. in Toronto, Canada and served as assistant to the President until September 1987.
Hideki Okamura returned to Japan and became the Manager of the Secretariat Office in 1988 and held this position until June 1991 when he was named President of Minolta France S.A.
In June 2001 he was appointed as an Executive Officer of Minolta Co., Ltd. and in July 2001 he became President and Chief Executive Officer of Minolta Corporation. Following the merger between Konica and Minolta he was named President and Chief Executive Officer of Konica Minolta Photo Imaging USA.
In April 2005 he returned to Europe and became President of Konica Minolta Business Solutions Europe.
His strong financial background and his experience in both North America and Europe give Hideki Okamura the ability to meet the challenges of today’s rapidly changing markets.
Hideki Okamura includes golf, skiing and reading among his hobbies. He and his wife Michiko have one daughter, Ayaka. They reside in Langenhagen, Germany.
